Benefits

Wellington Regional Medical Center offers a comprehensive benefits package for residents, including medical, dental, vision and other benefits. Coverage is also offered for family members at an additional cost to the resident. In addition, educational benefits are provided, including an annual resident, society memberships, certifications, and other educational benefits.

Educational Benefits

  • ACP membership, which also includes one-time payment of MKSAP PGY-1 year
  • ACLS/BLS certification classes provided during orientation
  • John’s Hopkins PEAC (Physician Education and Assessment Center)
  • Palm Beach County Medical Society membership
  • Approved conference fund to use toward registration, poster expenses and travel (per hospital policy)

  • Yearly Educational Stipend: Residents are provided with an annual educational stipend of $2,000 to support educational and professional expenses each academic year (July-June). Any remaining stipend for that academic year does not carry over into the next academic year. Stipend may be used toward:
    • Medical conference expenses (registration, hotel, airfare, food, etc., per hospital policy)
    • Medical reference books, online journals or subscriptions
